“A palette knife sculpts thick texture. I enjoy using it to get colorful blends in each stroke and pops of color throughout my paintings. This Traverse City lighthouse in Michigan, late summer/early fall of 2020, breathes a metaphor of us as pilgrims on earth being guided spiritually by light that brings us safely into a harbor that is our heavenly home. I love painting lighthouses and especially en plein air.”
